• In Mali the higher education system will be updated with the help of RAFU programs ("Russian-African Network University").

The programs cover areas of artificial intelligence and robotics, geological exploration and raw material extraction, energy and renewable energy sources, space technologies and satellites, as well as agriculture.

"The 29 developed educational programs are a practical contribution of Russian universities to the implementation of the ambitious tasks facing the higher education system of Mali. We hope that during this visit, specific roadmaps will be developed for each of the eight priority training areas," said Dmitry Arsenyev, Vice-Rector for International Activities.

During the visit to Mali, the Russian delegation held talks with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Mali, Bourema Kansaye, rectors of Malian universities, and heads of research centers.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was signed to join 19 Malian universities to the RAFU consortium.

  • Short answer: Kalibr is a Russian family of sea-, sub-sea-, air- and ground-launched cruise missiles (land-attack and anti-ship versions). It’s notable for long reported ranges, a mix of subsonic and supersonic variants (some do a supersonic terminal sprint), and combat use since 2015.

    Key points (fast read)

Variants: anti-ship (3M54 series, with a supersonic terminal sprint) and land-attack (3M14 series, subsonic cruise).

Ranges: export models are limited (~200–300 km). Russian (domestic) versions are widely reported to have much longer ranges — e.g. ~1,500–2,500 km for some land-attack variants — though exact figures are often disputed.

Speed & flight profile: subsonic cruise for most of the flight; certain anti-ship variants perform a high-speed (supersonic) terminal sprint to defeat defenses. Sea-skimming final approach is common for anti-ship types.

Warhead: conventional or nuclear-capable options; typical conventional warhead weights in open sources are hundreds of kilograms.

Launch platforms: surface ships, submarines, and modified ground/air platforms (container/land-launch systems have been publicized).

    Operational history

First combat notoriety: 2015 strikes from the Caspian Sea into Syria, demonstrating long-range, sea-launched land-attack use.

Widely reported in later conflicts (notably the Russo-Ukrainian War) as a frequently used strike missile. Public reporting indicates Russia has adapted and launched Kalibrs from different platforms in that conflict.

    Who has them?

Public/open sources list Russia as the developer/operator and several countries reported as operators or recipients of export (Club/Kalibr) variants, including Algeria, China, India, Iran (reportedly), and Vietnam — export versions have shorter ranges to meet export controls.

    Why it matters

Kalibr gives surface ships and subs a precision-strike capability at long stand-off distances, increasing the strategic reach of whoever fields them. Their mix of stealthy cruise flight and occasional supersonic terminal dash makes interception harder for some air-defense systems.

    Caveats & safety

Public figures on range, warhead, and performance vary by source and by whether the missile is an export or domestic version. Official Russian data is limited; open-source analysts sometimes give differing estimates.

  • Just In .. AES to establish its own ICC-like court :

The Alliance of Sahel States (AES), formed by Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, is preparing to establish the Sahelian Criminal Court for Human Rights (CPS-DH). This court will have jurisdiction over international cr¡mes, terror¡sm, and organized cr¡me, aiming to reduce reliance on international tribunals such as the International Criminal Court (ICC), which the AES considers biased against African countries.

At a recent meeting in Niamey, following earlier talks in Bamako, the AES Ministers of Justice reviewed progress on judicial cooperation and discussed harmonizing legal and penitentiary systems. Key decisions include creating the CPS-DH, building a high-security prison, and launching legal action against Fr4nce and Ukraine at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for supporting terr0rism. National proceedings are also planned against Fr£nch media outlets such Fr4nce 24, RFI, and TV5 Monde for promoting terr0rism through their editorial stance.

Niger’s Security Minister, Mohamed Toumba, stressed the importance of developing a common African judicial body to guarantee legal security and regional integration. He also conveyed the support of President Abdourahamane Tiani, highlighting the AES’s broader vision of collective defense, mutual assistance, and development.

Burkina Faso’s Justice Minister, Rodrigue Bayala, hailed the Niamey meeting as historic, while Mali’s Justice Minister, Mamoudou Kassogué, emphasized its role in continuing the roadmap set in Bamako.

This second ministerial meeting is expected to produce new resolutions to strengthen judicial integration and consolidate the AES’s young institutional framework, potentially reshaping governance and security in the Sahel.

  • FRANCE DARK IMAGE

Some sources claim that France gets ≈ €400-€440 billion per year from its former colonies, especially from those using the CFA franc currency arrangement.

Others say that France takes “85% of foreign exchange reserves” from certain former colonies under banking rules established with those countries at independence.

There are also statements that some former colonies “store” large parts of their national reserves with the French treasury or Banque de France.

Problems / doubts with these figures

Lack of official sources: These claims mostly come from opinion pieces, media outlets, activist or NGO commentary. Not from peer-reviewed research or official French or African government budget data.

Ambiguous definitions: Terms like “colonial tax,” “reserves deposited,” “flow of money,” etc. are used loosely; they are often not clearly defined or quantified in verifiable terms.

Possibility of exaggeration or misinformation: Some articles repeat older claims without solid evidence; numbers vary widely; some are sensational.

Changes over time: Agreements and monetary systems evolve (some countries are reforming or exiting the CFA franc agreements, etc.), so even if some flows existed historically, they may have changed or diminished.

    Tentative conclusion

Since there is no reliable documented total amount, I can’t give a definitive “France receives ___ per year” figure from its former colonies. The most common large figures in circulation (like ~€400-440 billion) are likely overestimates or symbolic representations rather than data you can put into a government budget or trade account.

  • This is the Zaria section of Kano- Kaduna rail that has stalled due to paucity of funds. One of the MOUs signed by president Tinubu when he visited China in September 2024 was to get more loans that would complete the project.

With all our oil earnings we don't have the money to finance 250km railway. That is not enough,we don't have the technology to build railway. I am not talking of electric bullet train, just the basic rail technology that has been around since 1804.

South Africa through Transnet has built its rail system and is a manufacturer of trains.

Egypt National Railways and Cairo Electric trains had built most of the rail system in Egypt and the country had bullet trains and 46 other train system moving 1.2m people daily. Nigeria with Kaduna-Abuja and Lagos - Ibadan trains moves about 10,000 people daily.

Egypt is a non OPEC member with 12 working refineries. It is not the biggest oil producer in Africa. South Africa has no oil but it has 6 working refineries.

We are a nation without shame. And we pride ourselves as the giant of Africa. Some people still think we are ahead of South Africa and Egypt. But the two countries manufacture planes and helicopters. We are not talking of cars. Nigeria does not produce bicycles or syringes.

  • Why do I often tell you that Africa is Orphaned by Patriotic and Visionary Leadership???

In North Korea, from elementary school, the child learns that South Korea is his first enemy. All his education is oriented towards this reality: his neighbor from the South is a permanent threat that you have to be ready for at any moment.

In China, children grow up with the story of the massacres committed by Japan against their grandparents. The memory of these sufferings is instilled in them to nourish a national vigilance and a will to power.

In Israel, every child is raised in the idea that Palestine is a danger, an enemy that must be contained and fought.
In Palestine, the teaching hammers home that the State of Israel has no legitimacy and should not exist.

In Russia, in France, in the United States it is the same...
In these societies, the child is shaped from an early age to see a tangible, real, visible enemy. This psychological conditioning aims to prepare a heroic and relentless struggle on all fields: military, political, economic and cultural. We educate to resist, we educate to overcome.

In Africa, it is quite the opposite. The child learns very early that his real enemy is not a man, nor a system but Satan and the demons. An invisible, elusive enemy, which requires no concrete preparation, except prayer and divine expectation. And that it is his brother who sends Satan to deceive him...

Result: no physical training, no military strategy, no structured economic plan, no Patriotism. We pray from morning to night, we become mean against our brother and we organize fasts of 30 days to hope for peace..

For more than a thousand years, this conditioning has enclosed the continent in an endless circle. Instead of forging minds ready to face concrete challenges poverty, colonization, economic domination, plundering of resources..
we divert energies towards an endless religious fight. This is the role of Religious Dealers subsidized by Anti-Fatherland Pipoliticians. While other peoples are preparing to dominate, Africa is wearing itself out in a struggle against an enemy that it can neither see, nor touch, nor really defeat. From then on, his only enemy is nothing other than his brother. He insults his own Ancestors and sees his historical torturers as his saviors. Sad!

It is this psychological gap that explains why, despite the riches and the potentialities, Africa cannot move forward without a new generation of leaders freed from the Fables of our Torturers.

  • Burkina Launches Massive Education Reform

Since coming to power, Capt Traoré has consistently emphasized the need for deep educational reform. He argued that the outdated system could no longer meet the country’s needs and that Burkina Faso’s rapid development must be driven by strong foundations in engineering, science, and technology. After three years of preparation, the reformed education system is finally ready.

The Ministry of Higher Education has unveiled a massive plan to reshape universities, align studies with the job market, and accelerate national development.

Eight priority fields have been identified:

    1️⃣ Aeronautics and Aerospace

    2️⃣ Agriculture, Livestock, and Environment

3️⃣ Architecture, Urban Planning, Visual Arts, and Design

4️⃣ Land and Real Estate, Infrastructure

    5️⃣ Computer Science and Technologies

    6️⃣ Mining, Materials, and Metallurgy

    7️⃣ Nuclear and Renewable Energies

    8️⃣ Medical and Paramedical Sciences

The reform introduces 37 specializations and 485 disciplines, while discontinuing 30 outdated programs. In total, 361 new training programs will be launched.

Universities will also specialize based on regional strengths, for example, agricultural sciences in farming regions and mining engineering in mining zones. A centerpiece of the reform is the creation of the Polytechnic University of Burkina Faso, envisioned as a hub for engineering excellence, Burkina Faso’s very own “MIT.”

This transformation will eliminate duplication, better guide students toward high-demand sectors, and strengthen the country’s path to development. The reform officially takes effect in the upcoming academic year, beginning in October 2025.
